Released yesterday from our friends at Run The Trap, this banger from OG Status is not one to miss. The featured track is a #futureratchet remix of Waka Flocka’s “Cashin’ Out” and includes a free download. OG Status is a newly formed, Boulder based, project of three well established musicians: Julian Garland of Crushendo, Clark Smith of DYNOHUNTER, and Colbly Buckler of Two Fresh. Together these three create one of the more unique sounds in the electronic music game today. If you missed their show at the Bluebird on Saturday you done f**ked up, the live experience that they put on is unlike any I’ve witnessed, incorporating live sax and drums into their production. Make sure you catch these guys next time they play near you, OG Status is a name you are going to be hearing much more about in the future.
Check out the bangin new 2 track EP “I Just Go” from Djemba Djemba, fresh off the presses at MAD DECENT. The two tracks on this EP ” Oh Ok Yeah That’s Cool” and “I Just Go” play off of each other perfectly and showcase the diverse production skills of Djemba Djemba. ” Oh Ok Yeah That’s Cool” is an example of Trap gold that hits hard from start to finish in the style that we have come to expect from Djemba Djemba. The title track of this EP “I Just Go” is more of a chill, melodic track perfectly suited to sit back and light one up while you listen. Although there’s only two tracks on this EP, they both prove that Djemba Djemba is one of the most talented young producers in the game today.
